Hibs midfielder John Rankin believes the Hibees can deliver a Scottish Cup shock at Ibrox and end Rangers' hopes of a domestic treble. The former Inverness player is confident Hibernian can make the most of Rangers' involvement in the UEFA Cup this week, and claims Sunday's replay in Glasgow will be there for the winning.
Rankin was on the losing side against Celtic on Saturday as Gordon Strachan's side won 2-0 at Easter Road to maintain their title bid in the Scottish Premier League.
But the 24-year-old, who joined Hibs in January, hopes it will be a different story against the other half of the Old Firm in the fifth-round replay on Sunday.
"We have Rangers on Sunday and what better way to bounce back than that?" said Rankin.
"There is a place in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals at stake. Hibernian have beaten Rangers at Ibrox already this season so there is absolutely no reason why we should not be able to go there and do that again."
