Wolves boss hails Kyle's 'impact'

Tue 04 Mar, 03:45 PM

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has launched a vigorous defence of on-loan Coventry striker Kevin Kyle, saying he has already 'made an impact'.Eyebrows were raised at Molineux when McCarthy brought the former Sunderland forward to the club in January.

However, his performances have attracted praise and he scored an outstanding goal in the recent win at Crystal Palace.

McCarthy said: "It just frustrates me that he arrived here with a bit of baggage and with people suspicious of him.

"I just think, give him a chance to get going and he will do well for us.

"He hadn't played for a while and had been suspended but I was delighted to get him and I think he's made an impact for us."
