It has been good day for Stoke City as Andy Griffin has succeeded in his appeal against the controversial red card given to him against QPR, while midfielder Liam Lawrence won Championship player of the month.
Griffin was sent-off for Stoke last Saturday when referee Andy D'Urso showed him the red card for what seemed a perfectly good tackle on Hogan Ephraim.
However, D'Urso later admitted it was the wrong decision, and the FA appeals panel has now overturned the card.
Meanwhile, Lawrence showed his eye for goal during the month as he scored four goals in six appearances.
It caps an award double for the Potters, with Tony Pulis having won the manager of the month last week.
Lawerence beat off competition from Blackpool striker Paul Dickov and Hull forward Fraizer Campbell for his award.
In League One, Brighton striker Glenn Murray won the award for scoring four goals in five games.
While in League Two, the prize went to Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis who only conceded one goal in six league appearances during February.
