After having won a point for Arsenal with a late strike against Aston Villa at the weekend, Nicklas Bendtner insists his career at the Emirates is progressing well.

The 20-year-old has come under fire from certain quarters since returning from a loan spell with Birmingham and on occasion his attitude has been called into question.

His on-pitch bust-up with team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor during the Carling Cup semi-final defeat to Tottenham did nothing to discredit those views.

But the Denmark international claims there are no lasting grudges over that particular incident and that, despite more often than not playing a bench role, he is enjoying his second spell with the Gunners.

"I am doing fine in Arsenal," the striker told Ekstra Bladet. "It's great being here.

"My relationship with Adebayor is also fine.

"The problems we had at Tottenham are forgotten and I try not to think about that anymore."

The league leaders have struggled over recent weeks and are without a win in four outings, having drawn three and lost one - to title rivals Manchester United.

Arsenal's position at the top of the Premier League was only preserved when Bendtner came off the bench - making his 17th appearance of the campaign - to net an injury time equaliser at the Emirates on Saturday, but the marksman refuses to subscribe to the view that Arsenal are a club in crisis.

"I think it's been a good season and I am happy with my performance," he added.

Next up for the Arsene Wenger's side is a tough-looking trip to the San Siro on Tuesday, when they face current European champions Milan in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Arsenal also have to go to Chelsea in the Premier League later this month.
