Colchester defender Pat Baldwin is to undergo an operation which will keep him out for the rest of the season. The former Chelsea trainee suffered a dislocated shoulder just six minutes into the defeat at West Brom last week and has to go under the knife to correct the problem.
"It's annoying, but it's part of football and there are certainly other players who get more serious injuries," he said.
"It's not the end of the world and I'm sure I will be coming back fitter and stronger."
