Boss facing skipper conundrum

Fri 04 Apr, 03:15 PM

Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd admitted he is yet to decide who will be handed the captain's armband against Coventry on Saturday.Due to suspensions, Watford have had four different captains in the last five games and the manager may relieve Dan Shittu of the duty after just one outing last weekend.

He said: "I've got another decision to make. It's about each individual leading himself and doing what's required.

"I like John Eustace as captain because he is the glue that holds it together and is not afraid to tell people what he thinks. But he is suspended still.

"Richard Lee is a great example of someone who won't take no for an answer. Darius Henderson has been absolutely outstanding all season and has led the line.

"Jay DeMerit is playing out of position at the minute and his qualities are there to see when he plays."
