Mark Davies' injury nightmare is set to continue after the Wolves midfielder's season was ended when he jarred a knee in training. The 20-year-old, who has been recovering from a shoulder problem, has been plagued by injury since last April and has yet to feature for the first-team this season.
Boss Mick McCarthy confirmed his chances of taking to the field this term have been effectively ended.
"Mark has got bone bruising and his knee is in a brace to protect it," McCarthy told the club's official website.
"It's a knock back for him and he has no chance of taking part in first-team action this season.
"He's a good little player and we would all like to see him back fit, when he's out training he's definitely a first-team player."
