Double cup worry for Tykes boss

Fri 04 Apr, 01:15 PM

Barnsley have major doubts over Stephen Foster and Daniel Nardiello for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Cardiff, while Jon Macken is cup-tied.Defender Foster has suffered a badly bruised foot and the centre-back - who scored the equaliser in the fifth-round win at Liverpool - is almost certain to miss out.

Former Manchester United striker Nardiello is unlikely to feature having suffered a hamstring injury in training at the start of the week.

Boss Simon Davey told the club's official website: "Daniel pulled up in training on Monday with a hamstring problem. He probably has a 30% chance of being fit."

The Tykes will be looking to put their woeful league form behind them once again for the FA Cup, having seen their relegation fears grow worse with three successive defeats despite beating Chelsea and Liverpool in the last two rounds.

Kick-off 4pm.
