Southampton are set to be without midfielder Jason Euell when they host leaders Bristol City at St Mary's on Saturday.The experienced midfielder suffered a knee injury during last weekend's defeat at Cardiff - although the problem is not as serious as first feared and he should resume training soon.

Saints, who dropped into the relegation zone this week, could be boosted by the return of Spanish playmaker Inigo Idiakez, who has been out for a month with a hamstring injury.

Defender Chris Lucketti, a recent loan signing from Sheffield United, may also be added to the squad.

Kelvin Davis is fit to challenge on-loan Richard Wright for the gloves after recovering from a dislocated finger, but fellow goalkeepers Michael Poke (ankle) and Bartosz Bialkowski (thumb) are still out.

Young striker David McGoldrick is available following a back injury.
