Jones waiting on Bluebirds duo

Fri 04 Apr, 01:30 PM

Cardiff boss Dave Jones will hand late fitness tests to Paul Parry and Steve Thompson ahead of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Barnsley. The forwards were both forced off the field with muscle strains in Tuesday's goalless draw with West Brom and face a race against time to make the Wembley clash.

One forward who is definitely out is Warren Feeney, with the Northern Ireland man having already played in the competition when on loan at Swansea, but he would have missed out anyway after lasting just nine minutes against the Baggies.

Jones will at least be able to call on Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who returns following a three-match suspension.

Aaron Ramsey is likely to return to the 16-man squad for what will be the Bluebirds' first FA Cup semi-final in 81 years after being left out against Albion.

Kevin McNaughton played the full 90 minutes against Tony Mowbray's men on his return from a hamstring problem and should keep his place, but Robbie Fowler (hip) is still sidelined.

Kick-off 4pm at Wembley.
