Grimsby Town boss Alan Buckley has a host of injury worries to contend with for the trip to Rochdale in League Two on Saturday.Striker Danny North has a knee problem while defender Robert Atkinson (groin) and midfielder James Hunt (hamstring) are also struggling.

Paul Bolland (dead leg), Peter Bore (thigh) and Ciaran Toner (knee) are all battling to overcome their respective injuries for a place in Buckley's midfield.

The Mariners boss is considering his options and may hand 19-year-old Andy Taylor a rare start in attack.

Young defender Matthew Bird may make his first appearance for the first team while striker Nathan Jarman could also be involved.

Buckley told the club's official website: "We might be enforced into giving a few of the young and fringe players a go on Saturday.

"I might decide to look at Andy (Taylor), young Birdy's done okay, I might decide to look at him. He only signed professional two weeks ago but he's got all the physical attributes. At least we've got one of two more to look at."
