Defender Richard Hinds and midfielder Sean McAllister are both doubtful for Sheffield Wednesday's Saturday lunchtime trip to Scunthorpe.Hinds was forced off after 17 minutes of last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stoke having picked up an ankle injury and will be assessed closer to kick off.

Boss Brian Laws - who returns to the club where he was in charge for nine years before joining the Owls for the first time - will also check on the condition of McAllister, who picked up a calf injury in the 1-1 draw with Coventry on Tuesday.

Wade Small should be fit to return to Laws' midfield having recovered from an illness which stopped him from featuring in the midweek game.

Striker Marcus Tudgay is set to remain out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

The Owls will be looking to hold onto their place outside the drop zone having climbed above Barnsley and Southampton thanks to Richard Wood's late header against the Sky Blues.
