Worries mounting for Wrexham

Fri 04 Apr, 01:15 PM

Wrexham manager Brian Little faces an injury crisis as his side look to keep their League Two survival hopes alive at home to Macclesfield.Midfielder Danny Sonner (Achilles) and striker Rob Duffy (foot) are both doubtful for the Dragons whilst midfielder Jeff Whitley is also unlikely to feature after sustaining a shoulder injury.

Midfielder Danny Williams is still sidelined with a back injury although Little should be able to call on defender Steve Evans after he came through 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek following a knee injury.

Carl Tremarco is due to undergo a scan on his ankle in the coming weeks but is unlikely to appear again this season and although defender Neil Taylor could return from his foot injury before the end of the campaign, he is not in contention for the visit of the Silkmen.

Little's men have lost three of their last four games and now lie eight points away from safety at the bottom of League Two.
