Gretna's future was in fresh doubt this morning as administrators prepared to meet with staff and players of the troubled Clydesdale Bank Premier League club.
Preparations for Saturday's SPL match against Inverness face disruption, and the game at Fir Park could even be under threat.
A representative of administrators Wilson Field was set to address the remaining employees at Raydale Park, nine days after 22 players and seven staff were made redundant.
Wilson Field's David Elliot has sought to keep Gretna in business, and the club are now in their fourth week of administration.
Normal plans ahead of the game were put on hold, with normal routine abandoned and no pre-match press conference planned.
Wilson Field have been looking to find a buyer for the crisis club.
Benefactor Brooks Mileson withdrew his funding last month, following time spent in hospital with a brain infection.
Mileson pumped around £8million into Gretna, providing the club with funds which helped in their rapid rise through the Scottish Football League ranks, culminating in last season's promotion to the SPL.
Gretna's relegation from the SPL was confirmed last weekend by their defeat to St Mirren.
After being docked 10 points for going into administration, Gretna have been left with just six points.
SPL officials have stated they currently expect the match to go ahead.
A Gretna spokesman revealed there had been a change of plans, and the administrators would not be addressing staff in person but with a phonecall to the club at lunchtime.
Club officials remained in the dark about the administrators' intentions, and about whether the announcement would affect Saturday's fixture.
