Chemmy Alcott was denied a clean sweep of British national championship titles despite winning the super-G section of the super-combined after 20-year-old Louise Thomas took the slalom portion to claim the title.

The World Cup star Alcott, who had won the super-G, the downhill and also the slalom at Meribel, France, added a title in Friday's giant slalom to make it four wins from five events.

Thomas took silver in the last of the senior championships events.

Alcott had looked poised for victory in the super-combined as well after blazing to Thursday's fastest super-G run a full 1.18 seconds quicker than the third-placed Thomas.

But Thomas was fastest in the slalom at 1.30 seconds ahead of the fourth-placed Alcott to claim combined gold by just 0.12 seconds.

In the men's races, Ed Drake continued his dominating performance by claiming yet another victory in the giant slalom.

Drake had run the fastest time in the super-G and the third-quickest in the slalom to win the super-combined title on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Drake was the star performer at nationals taking the super-G and the downhill titles as well.

His result in the super-G should be enough to see him graduate to the World Cup circuit, despite his failure to finish his first run in the slalom, where the title went to David Ryding.
