* Getafe defender Cosmin Contra, who scored a 90th minute equaliser to draw 1-1 away to Bayern Munich in their UEFA Cup quarter-final, first leg, is suspended for their trip to third-placed Barcelona on Sunday.

Barca's Portugal midfielder Deco failed to complete training on Thursday and remains a doubt for Sunday. He has been struggling with a calf problem.

Brazil forward Ronaldinho has returned to training with the rest of the side and could make the squad after three weeks on the sidelines with muscle pains.

* Real Madrid's Portugal centre-back Pepe has recovered from the bruising that kept him out of their last match and is fit to feature away to Real Mallorca on Saturday.

Midfielders Guti and Fernando Gago, and defender Gabriel Heinze have all been passed fit after shaking off knocks during the week. Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain is expected to deputise for the injured Ruud van Nistelrooy again.

Mallorca goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya said Real were likely to be wary of them after the islanders knocked the league leaders out of this season's Copa del Rey with home and away wins.

"They will have a little more respect for us. They will see us as a difficult side to beat after we put them out of the cup. They'll have learned their lesson and that it will make it harder for us," he told sports daily AS.

* French striker Florent Sinama Pongolle has been cleared to play for relegation-threatened Recreativo Huelva at Osasuna on Saturday after the Spanish Football Federation's Appeals Committee overturned his yellow card from last weekend.

* Argentina midfielder Pablo Aimar is available for selection with struggling Real Zaragoza again after recovering from surgery on a groin injury and could make an appearance at home to Real Betis on Sunday.

"I am ready to return and would love to play 300 minutes, but I am not capable of playing a whole game yet," Aimar said.

* Fourth-placed Atletico Madrid will have Portugal winger Simao Sabrosa back in the side to face Almeria at home on Sunday after he shook off a muscle strain.
