Boss aims for swift league return

Sun 04 May, 03:15 PM

Brian Little is hoping Wrexham can bounce back from the disappointment of relegation with a swift return to the Football League next season. The Dragons signed off the campaign with a 4-2 win at Lincoln as they prepare for life in the Blue Square Premier thanks to a brace from from Wes Baynes and efforts from Levi Mackin and Chris Llewellyn.

Little said: "Obviously we are going to be trying very hard. We have had a good look at the Blue Square Premier in the last few weeks and it is a very good standard.

"The top six could probably hold their own in the Football League, which means at the moment there are probably teams better than us, but we will go away in the summer and recruit and work very hard.

"The fans have been fantastic, you could see how much it meant to them. We have got to give them more opportunities to go away and enjoy winning football games.

"The club has not won enough games in the last three seasons, hopefully with this win we are beginning to turn the corner."
