Ferguson upbeat despite Posh defeat

Sun 04 May, 05:30 PM

Darren Ferguson's Peterborough charges were unable to celebrate promotion in front of their fans with a win as they lost 2-0 to Darlington. The result was soon forgotten by Posh as they left League Two behind and manager Ferguson immediately set his sights on another season to savour.

Ferguson said: "It would obviously have been great to go out with a win for the fantastic fans, but they didn't appear to mind too much.

"It was just one game too many at the end of a long season, but no-one can criticise the players for what they have achieved.

"Now we have to concentrate on bringing in the two or three additions I have identified to have a right good go in League One next season.

"It is happy days for everyone at the club and the challenge is making sure that continues in the future."
