Paul Holland admitted it had been a "horrible" end to Mansfield's season as they waved League Two farewell with a 2-0 defeat to Dagenham.Ben Strevens' effort and a Paul Benson penalty heaped further misery on the Stags as they prepare for life in the Blue Square Premier.

Holland said: "It was a horrible day from start to finish as we knew before the game that Dagenham would be in a party mood.

"Getting up for the game was hard and then we got three injuries and had to make all our substitutions, so it was a horrible end to a horrible game."
