Jackett bemoans lacklustre Lions

Sun 04 May, 06:45 PM

Millwall manger Kenny Jackett felt the "lack of desire" cost his side as they threw away a one-goal lead at Swindon to succumb to a 2-1 defeat.Danny Senda had put the Lions ahead in the sixth minute, but that was cancelled out as Robins striker Simon Cox converted a first-half penalty before Anthony McNamee's 51st-minute strike proved to be the winner.

Jackett said: "Overall there was a lack of desire. We did not appear to want to win enough.

"We had a good start, but then let it slip away and I felt we could have done a lot better."

Jackett went on to confirm goalscorer Senda had dislocated a knee after he fell awkwardly contesting a corner in first-half injury time and was carried off on a stretcher to be replaced by veteran Richard Shaw.

"Danny has dislocated his knee-cap and it is as well for him and us that it was the last match of the season. He was in absolute agony and he did it in such an unusual way."
