Gary McAllister praised Leeds' effort in their 2-1 win over Gillingham but insists they need to progress in their upcoming play-off semi-final.Goals from from Bradley Johnson and Tresor Kandol cancelled out Simeon Jackson's opener to give Leeds the points and McAllister was optimistic about his side's chances against Carlisle.

"Their manager can feel proud of his players. Gillingham gave it everything they had today. It was a good win for us in the end, but we were off the pace in the first half," said the Leeds boss.

"With the play-offs coming up, the hard work starts now. We are the form horse and I applaud the effort, concentration and focus I have had from the squad."
