Monday's meeting at Newcastle has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
Clerk of the course James Armstrong earlier called a precautionary inspection which had been due to take place at 8am ahead of racing at Monday.
But after further rain and with more on its way, he was left with no option but to call the fixture off early.
Armstrong said: "I'm afraid we've had to abandon as we've had a couple more millimetres of rain since this morning.
"There is now water lying at points near the five, six and seven-furlong starts.
"I knew we wouldn't need much more to be in trouble and there is more coming too."
