Beattie calls for focus

Mon 04 May, 12:06 PM

Stoke striker James Beattie insists the Potters cannot afford to relax until their Barclays Premier League status is guaranteed.

Tony Pulis' men went down 1-0 at home to West Ham at the weekend, but are still eight points above the drop zone with just three games to go.

"Other results went our way which is good but we can't just rely on everyone else," Beattie told the club's official website. "We need to concentrate on what we're doing.

"There are some big games coming up, we're not writing anyone off.

"They are all tough teams to play so we have to go out on the field with the attitude that we're going to get something."

  1. I agree we will stay up; but our disciplinary record is already grim without Barton adding his sunny personality to the Britannia.
