Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has pledged to the thousands of supporters who welcomed the players on an open top bus tour of the city that his side will be a force in the Championship next season.
The tour took place after Posh finished second in League One to cap a remarkable climb through the divisions under Ferguson.
He said: "The turnout we received was amazing and I would like to thank each one of the supporters for their backing this season.
"It has been a tremendous campaign and we are looking forward to the Championship.
"We are not going there to make up the numbers up."

it's amazing how good this younger ferguson is~ looks like he could be taking over his dad when he eventually decides to retire~ and as a man utd support, that would be the best thing for me~ this would mean sir alex will remain at united even when retired~
When i first read the headline i thought he was reffering to " Golden Balls " old lady
good luck to them.
