Portsmouth boss Paul Hart admits the club's growing injury list is undermining their bid to guarantee Barclays Premier League survival.
Pompey are seven points above the drop zone and visit fellow strugglers Blackburn on Saturday.
Hart told The News: "We've lost three players just lately - (Niko) Kranjcar, (Younes) Kaboul and (Glen) Johnson.
"(David) Nugent was also carrying an injury even though he was on the bench.
"That's four players out of your team, which is a huge chunk for anybody."

For next season why not bring back the Pompey old boys Matt Taylor Gary O'Neil and Benjani. They should never have been sold in the first place. A priority must be a goal scorer as our tally this year is plainly not good enough by a long long way. Lets go for 5 more points and that means a home win for a change.
pompey rule the world
no excuses they our all paid well and our proffesional players its called wanting to perform ,,,, we need a striker so badly ,,, for next season ,,, also 3points should be ok ,,, then get rid of the ones who dont want to play for pompey and get in players who would fight till the bitter end ,,, some players our not doing enough and you can see it ,,, come on pompey
