Blackpool caretaker manager Tony Parkes is hoping to land the job permanently after a DJ Campbell strike sent Swansea slipping to a surprise 1-0 home defeat.
A poor clearance was collected by Brett Ormerod in the 13th minute and he slipped a pass out wide to Campbell who found the net with a 15-yard drive. That proved enough to secure the three points and Parkes is hoping it will also clinch him the manager's job full-time.
"Success for Blackpool is staying in this division and we have done that quite comfortably," he said.
"There is a board meeting in a couple of weeks when my position will be discussed but I would definitely like the job."
