Fulham have sealed the signing of David Stockdale for an undisclosed fee, with Roy Hodgson hoping for "great things" from the young goalkeeper. The 22-year-old kept 20 clean sheets for Darlington in League Two last season as Quakers just missed out on the play-off final after losing to Rochdale in a penalty shoot-out.
"I am delighted my move to Fulham has finally been made official as it has always been a dream of mine to play in the Premier League," Stockdale said.
Cottagers manager Hodgson told the club's website: "David Stockdale is a welcome addition to the squad and I'm delighted he joins us for the start of pre-season.
"He is one of a number of highly-rated young English goalkeepers and he will continue to develop his skills and realise his full potential at Fulham under the guidance of Mike Kelly and the rest of my coaching staff.
"We are hopeful of great things from David and I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to the team in the future."
