Watford have confirmed that defender Danny Shittu will be fit to return for pre-season training in July after a hamstring injury.Shittu missed the second leg of the 6-1 play-off mauling by Hull with a hamstring injury he sustained in the first leg.

The colossal centre-half then missed Nigeria's 2-0 win over South Africa last weekend but despite reports that he had picked up a fresh knee injury the Hornets have confirmed that he will be fit for the new season.
