Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire will not be leaving Pittodrie to join Coventry after admitting he hopes to sign a new deal with the Dons.The 19-year-old has been linked with a £300,000 move to the Ricoh Arena but looks set to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Scottish Premier League outfit.

Maguire told the Aberdeen Evening Express: "I only know what I read about Coventry City being interested, but I haven't heard anything officially and I'm not even interested in leaving Aberdeen.

"I'm pleased with the progress I've been making and I've still got a year left on my contract and would be happy to extend that.

"I did well towards the end of last season and want to play more games and score more goals for Aberdeen."
