Leeds United manager Gary McAllister has confirmed his desire to bring in a proven striker this summer and is apparently eyeing Kevin Phillips.McAllister has made enquiries about West Bromwich Albion striker Phillips, leading goalscorer in the Championship last season, according to the player's agent Phil Smith.
McAllister, who refused to name his summer targets, said: "We are in the market and we are looking at frontmen who can strengthen."
Leeds have also been linked with a £1million move for Celtic forward Derek Riordan, while McAllister insists Jermaine Beckford, top scorer at Leeds last season with 20 goals, remains a part of his plans.
