Watford have confirmed that defender Danny Shittu will be fit to return for pre-season training in July after a hamstring injury.
Shittu missed the second leg of the 6-1 play-off mauling by Hull with a hamstring injury he sustained in the first leg.
The colossal centre-half then missed Nigeria's 2-0 win over South Africa last weekend but despite reports that he had picked up a fresh knee injury the Hornets have confirmed that he will be fit for the new season.
Shittu has been linked with a move away from Vicarage Road, with coach Malky Mackay warning potential suitors Rangers and West Brom that they would have to stump up "big money" to sign the player.
The Nigerian was named in the Championship Team of the Season after scoring nine goals in all competitions and helping the Hornets to a sixth-placed finish.
