Eurosport - Wed, 04 Jun 15:58:00 2008

Rangers have failed in a bid for Motherwell defender Mark Reynolds, with Mark McGhee insisting none of sis side's top players are for sale.

FOOTBALL: Motherwell defender Mark Reynolds - 0

Rangers are reported to have offered between £750,000 and £1 million for the 21-year-old, who played in every one of Motherwell's games last season.

But Motherwell insist the Scotland Under-21 international is not for sale at any price.

McGhee last week rejected an offer from Hearts to stay at Fir Park for the club's UEFA Cup push and he has been assured by chairman John Boyle none of his top players will be sold.

McGhee said: "It was part of my discussions with John and one of the reasons why I didn't go to Hearts.

"I was given guarantees that none of our top players would be sold this summer.

"Even if Rangers were to offer £5 million for Mark Reynolds it wouldn't matter to me because I would tell John that this time next season he could be worth £10 million.

"Our top players are not for sale and if they are sold then I will be going out the door with them."

  5. LOL I had a right good read at the Daily Rangers saying that a move to Rangers would be his dream move. I know thia young man really well and know for a fact that he comes from a Celtic minded family. This is not to say he is stupid though and he is aware that a footballers life is a short one. If Celtic where to come in he would be chapping at the managers door at least to speak to them.

However a move to Rangers is not his dream move lol.
