Ligue 1 - Lyon chase Hleb and Vieira

Lyon director Bernard Lacombe has announced his interest in signing midfield pair Alexander Hleb and Patrick Vieira.

Barcelona ace Hleb (pictured) has spent the majority of the season on the bench and is looking for a move away from the Nou Camp, while Lacombe has admitted the recently-deposed French champions are keen to snap up the 28-year-old.

"Hleb is a good player, we'll see what we can do," Lacombe told OL TV.

Vieira could also be on his way to Lyon after an injury-ravaged season at Internazionale.

"The worry is his injuries," Lacombe added. "But he wants to play in the World Cup, so why not?"

The France international has claimed he does not want to leave the Guiseppe Meazza but admitted he could be on the move if it would improve his chances of making next summer's World Cup.

  4. What a sorry a**e he has become. Ungrateful to the­ hands that made him. He was in Germany, unkown to the­ world when Wenger picked him up and polished his game.­ He paid back by jumping ship the sea was rough. I loved­ him at arsenal but ryt now, I wish his career would go­ the way of Antonio Reyes who also left similar­ circumstances. I guess its true what they say ' You­ can gain the whole world but still lose your soul'.­ Spanish liga, copa de rey (I am not sure he got champs­ league medal) but the important thing is missing. Need­ I say anymore about this guy and that French Traitor­ 'lamini?.
    Complete losers. Kaka, pato and possibly­ Pirlo are all leaving which possibly means great­ struggle in both the league and ini Europe next season.­ I hope like Reyes Antonio, they get lost in the­ footballing world. Anybody knows which club that Reyes­ is playing for currently?. What a waste?
