Serie A - Kaka decision expected on Monday

Eurosport - Thu, 04 Jun 11:31:00 2009

There could be a new world record transfer deal in place by Monday as AC Milan and Kaka near a decision on his proposed £56 million move to Real Madrid.

With Chelsea moving to rule themselves out of the running for the Brazil international on Wednesday, Madrid are the only bidders left and Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has said that the situation would be resolved after the weekend.

"I will meet Kaka on Monday and then I'll tell you," Berlusconi said on state television station Rai. "It is always the players who decide on their future, who have to decide how to pursue their career. I did all I could but in the end he took his decision."

Reports on Wednesday night suggested that Chelsea had tabled a huge bid worth £73.5 million, but the club denied making any offer.

A statement on the club's official website read: "We have never made an offer to AC Milan for Kaka and therefore not one at this extraordinary level.

"As a consequence we have not discussed a salary with the player either.

"Any reports to the contrary are totally untrue."

A devout Christian, Kaka gained Italian citizenship in 2007 and has repeatedly stated his desire to stay in Milan.

An exasperated Kaka told Gazetto dello Sport on Tuesday: "I'll say it for the last time. The last time. I don't want to leave Milan. To the millions of Milan supporters, I say that I have made my choice. I have said I want to stay. Leave me in peace, please."

However, the Rossoneri's willingness to sell the Brazil star to Manchester City in the winter was reported to have unsettled him and opened the door to a possible future transfer.

  8. The best for Kaka is to stick to Milan, Real will not win the title next season, Barca is flying now...lots of great player faded at Real. Raul is making the rules there, get Raul out and build a team again! This should be Real's goals! Stay were you are, Kaka...but unfortunatelly in sports like anywhere else, MONEY TALKS!!!

  11. I hope he doesnt go to Real or stays with Milan. Real are a no name at the moment and Milan are past it. Kaka is a world class player and he needs a team with better players then both of the teams have. To get the best out of him i could only see him signing for a team of the quality of Barca, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool or maybe even Porto. There is no other team in the world at the moment who have the quality or style in play like those teams. Imaging the goal tally of the teams if Kaka was playing balls through for rooney and ronaldo, torres and kuyt, henry and eto, drogba and anelka. But listen to the lad, he wants to stay with milan, how many of todays players do you hear saying that these days? Credit to him and i think they should leave him to play his days in the san siro.

  13. Kaka career will be at risk if he moves to the Animals team ( real ), every player played for real in recent years destroyed himself, same thing to coaches. i.e canavaro, hienze, gaggo, derente, snyder, heguien, robin, saviolla, own, ronaldo, moriantes etc. same to the coaches, cappilo, shouster, delboski. carlos, deramos, of course billigrini. and also one more came from the club. they all have to work under Raul, this is real policy they put Raul and then they build the team to meet raul needs. this is real the animals team

  14. Berlusconi is a typical lying dog of a politicians pretending that this is all Kaka's decision to make. He was sick in his stomach when the Man City deal fell through. if he wants Kaka to stay he might want to buy some players for him to pass to instead a stable full of geriatrics.
