Former Bradford defender Paul Heckingbottom has signed a one-year deal with Blue Square Premier League side Mansfield.
The 31-year-old struggled with a long-term hamstring injury last season and found his way back into the first team blocked by Bantams player of the year Luke O'Brien before being released by Stuart McCall.
Heckingbottom told the T&A: "It was an easy decision to make. I spoke to the manager (David Holdsworth) last week and he impressed me with everything that he said.
"When I drove home I thought that I would enjoy myself playing for Mansfield. It was the manager who convinced me that it was a good move to come here."
