Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll enquired about Kilkenny, but was told by Leeds counterpart Simon Grayson the Australia international was still part of his plans.
Doncaster's official website confirmed: "This week Sean made it known he had spoken to Leeds United manager Simon Grayson about the availability of Neil Kilkenny, but had been turned down and told that he was not for sale."
Kilkenny opted to join joined Leeds instead of Doncaster from Birmingham for £150,000 in January 2008 after two separate loan spells with Oldham.
