Briatore: No plans for Rs move

Fri 04 Jul, 01:00 PM

Flavio Briatore insists he has no imminent plans to move QPR out of their Loftus Road home and into a new stadium. The Italian, along with co-owner Bernie Ecclestone and billionaire investor Laksmhi Mittal, have big ambitions for Rangers, but at the moment a move away from their current west-London ground is not on the cards.

"First, let us fill Loftus Road," Briatore said.

"If you have a small restaurant then you try and make sure all the tables are busy at night before you move on to the next restaurant."

Meanwhile, the club are continuing their commitment to youth by handing first professional contracts to teenagers Danny Maguire, Matt O'Brien, Chris Arthur, Romone Rose, Josh Ford and Lee Brown.

Goalkeeper Reece Crowther will soon be joining them in the senior ranks while Joe Oastler has also been offered a pro deal after his release by Portsmouth.
