Striker Darryl Duffy admitted he needed to quit Swansea for the sake of his career following his £100,000 move to Bristol Rovers. The 24-year-old Scot has signed a three-year deal with the Pirates.
He joined the Swans on a permanent basis from Hull for £200,000 last July after a brief loan spell and scored seven goals in just over 30 appearances at the Liberty Stadium.
Duffy said: "It's taken a while for the contract details to be sorted, but now I can sign and carry on with my career.
"I was at Swansea for 14 months, so I guess you could say that it was short and sweet."
