Fri 04 Jul, 05:45 PM

New Millwall goalkeeper David Forde insists he is ready for the challenge of establishing himself as the Lions' number one.The 28-year-old former West Ham trainee has joined the Lions from Cardiff, having also spent time on loan at Luton and Bournemouth last season.

"I'm at the right age to be a number one and push my career forward, and I hope to be part of a side that gets Millwall firing back where it belongs," he told the Southwark News.

"I'm keen to get the club back up in the Championship as soon as possible, as that's where a club like Millwall deserves to be - at least."

  2. after a shaky start , fordy was excellent for bmth last season . one of the best all round keepers to pull on a bournemouth shirt . he deserves a chance , and millwall can only have a better team with him in it .
