Chesterfield have completed the signing of former Oldham, Shrewsbury and Gretna defender Danny Hall on a one-year contract. The 24-year-old was recently made redundant when Gretna went into administration and he is seen as a replacement for Hungarian defender Janos Kovacs, who left Chesterfield to join Lincoln earlier this summer.
Spireites boss Lee Richardson said: "Danny is a versatile player who I have monitored whilst in Scotland and he has become available due to Gretna's unfortunate demise."
Hall added: "I am really pleased to be joining Chesterfield and think the competition for places will bring out the best in us all. I reckon we could be in for a good season."
