Chester duo Paul Butler and Tony Dinning are set to start the new season with a clean slate after signing 12-month contract extensions.
The defender and midfielder were suspended by City manager Simon Davies following a breach of club discipline in April.
But after a meeting with Davies it was decided that they would start the new season with the rest of the squad when they kick-off on August 9.
Davies told the club website: "There was a dispute, however after talks the two players are willing to give their all for the club, which is pleasing.
"Everybody in the squad is now knuckling down and preparing for the forthcoming season. Everybody has one common aim and that is to be successful for Chester City Football Club."
