Epsom Derby and 2,000 Guineas winner Sea The Stars galloped to another impressive victory in the Group One Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park.
Trained in Ireland by John Oxx, the 4-7 favourite took command with 400 metres to go and held off the challenge of Aidan O'Brien's Rip Van Winkle (11-2) by a length. Breeders' Cup Turf winner Conduit (9-2) came in third.
Sea The Stars is only the fifth horse to pull off the Guineas-Derby-Eclipse treble and the first since Nashwan in 1989.
Winning jockey Mick Kinane, 50, told Channel 4 Racing: "He has so much early pace it's unbelievable."
The colt is now 3-1 favourite (from 6-1) for October's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp ahead of last week's Irish Derby winner Fame And Glory at 9-2.

Not good enough
King George and Arc and he'll be up with the greatest ever.
Just goes to show that those who crabbed the form of the Derby are very wrong.I look forward to a possible Ses The Stars - Fame and Glory rematch in the Irish Champion
