Cheltenham manager Martin Allen was pleased with the performance of his young players after a 2-2 draw in a pre-season friendly with Bishop's Cleeve.
The Robins, who needed a stunning solo effort from Josh Low to secure a draw, gave at least half a game to each of their 22 players in their opening warm-up match and took the lead through an Elvis Hammond penalty before Cleeve's Kevin Slack grabbed a brace.
However, an upbeat Allen seemed happy that his squad came through the game unscathed.
He told the club's official website: "It was a good workout, competitive without being over the top and I'm really glad we came here."
"We've had some good performances from our young players, and some very encouraging. They have trained hard all summer and are ahead of our other players with fitness and sharpness which is to be expected.
"It was understandable that the players faded a little bit because they had a hard morning fitness testing but it was a good night for the club and there were no injuries."
