Sheffield Wednesday midfielder James O`Connor believes the arrival of Tommy Miller will make the rest of the Owls squad perform better.

The signing of the former Ipswich midfielder means competition will be fierce in the engine room at Hillsborough but O`Connor is confident that will be of benefit to Brian Laws` men.

He told the club`s official website: "If we have competition for all places than that can only be good for Sheffield Wednesday.

"The last couple of months of the season, I didn`t do myself justice but I`m Looking forward to a fresh start and I can`t wait to get going."
