Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has confirmed that the Blades are still in the hunt for Manchester City striker Ched Evans.
United were first linked with the Wales international earlier in the summer and Blackwell admits he is still interested in bringing the youngster to Bramall Lane.
He told the club`s official website: "We are still looking at that one and have put in a couple of bids with Premier League clubs but, like us, they have only just come back so they will try and make their own signings before making decisions.
"But we have expressed out interest."
Meanwhile second-string goalkeeper Ian Bennett has signed a one-year extension to his Bramall Lane contract.
