Preston striker Jon Parkin believes he should be hitting the 15-goal mark as a minimum requirement this season.
The 6ft 4in forward notched 11 goals for North End last term to help them reach the Coca-Cola Championship play-offs.
The tally was all the more impressive given the fact he failed to score in his first 15 matches since joining from Stoke.
Parkin told PA Sport: "A lot of strikers say they target 20 goals for a season but I'd like to hit 15 first and see how I go from there.
"If I'd not taken so long to score my first goal last season then I could have ended up with 20, because I was scoring regularly from December onwards.
"I was happy with my contribution and am looking to have another strong season this time around."
