Reading manager Brendan Rodgers believes Watford striker Tommy Smith would happily join his Royals revolution if the two clubs could agree a fee.
The Hornets have accepted a £1.8 million bid from an unknown club for Smith but Rodgers is convinced that the former Sunderland man, who scored 17 goals for him at Vicarage Road last year, would like to follow him to the Madejski.
He told the Reading Post: "I'm confident that if the clubs can reach a fee then the player will come to us.
"It's one that I'm hopeful we can tie up soon. It's a situation where he knows how I work and knows how I like to play football.
"Reading is a big club at this level and there are lots of players who would like to come here. We've got a terrific squad as well."

ok for reading 5 mill and he can keep the kit haha
With Chopra at 4 Million, Tommy must be at 3 million, allowing for age, anyway surely it up to where he plays, after all it is his life!
For Reading make the price 2.5million
