Tottenham new boy David Bentley has admitted his first few days with the north London club have been "a bit of a rollercoaster".Bentley completed his switch from Blackburn to White Hart Lane last Thursday after a summer of speculation over his future.
The former Arsenal youngster marked his debut with a goal in against Celtic on Friday as Tottenham won the Feyenoord Jubilee Tournament and he is delighted to get his Spurs career off to a winning start.
"It is good to get off to a good start," Bentley told Sky Sports News. "The boys have performed well and it is good to come in and get off to a winning start.
"It has been a bit of rollercoaster to be fair.
"I think I signed on Thursday, then got my first bit of football [in training] and straight into a tournament situation it was really good for me."
Bentley has missed most of pre-season as he waited to seal a move away from Blackburn, but the winger says he has been working hard on keeping up his fitness.
"I was working hard on my own at Blackburn and the people at Blackburn helped me out and kept me fit," added Bentley.
"It is good to be involved with the lads now and in a tournament basis like this it is good to get some minutes under my belt."
Bentley is confident Spurs can enjoy a successful season with the quality Juande Ramos has at his disposal.
"The talent is here you can see it on display, the players are here as well it is a good set-up and lets hope this season can be a good one," concluded Bentley.
