Mon 04 Aug, 10:45 AM

Birmingham have reiterated their intent on keeping Sweden international Sebastien Larsson, who has been linked with Blackburn and Bolton. The former Arsenal man has been linked with a St Andrews exit following Blues' relegation to the Championship.

Chairman David Gold claims Larsson will only leave 'over my dead body' and now manager Alex McLeish has stated he does not want to lose his best players.

"We'll keep our best players and Seb certainly comes into that category," stated McLeish.

Meanwhile, Birmingham are expected to complete the loan capture Quincy-Owusu-Abeyie from Spartak Moscow.

The former Arsenal striker could cost Blues £3.5million should the move be turned into a permanent transfer next summer.
