Belgiums Ken De Dycker stormed to his first ever home victory this weekend, taking first and second place in the days main event on his way to the overall win at the Belgium GP, the 12th stop of the FIM Motocross World Championship. Red Bulls Max Nagl took second after putting on a charge in race two, finishing ahead of Championship leader Antonio Cairoli.

Cairoli failed to fire early on, with a luckless qualifying run and poor starts to both heats. Finding the form that has seen him dominate the latter stages of this years championships, he surged back into contention in both races, taking fifth and second, respectively. Sitting 51 points clear at the top of the Championship standings with just four races left, Cairoli is looking good for the MX1 2009 title.

Marvin Musquin reaffirmed his place at the top of the MX2 class Championship standings, shutting out the opposition from the get go to take convincing wins in both races. Championship challenger, Rui Goncalves of Portugal finished back in fourth place overall, dropping a significant 38 points behind Musquin, leaving the Frenchman in a strong position for the title.

The 15 year-old German sensation, Ken Roczen, put in yet another phenomenal performance, starting from 35th place following a tangle in qualifying, and fighting his way to fifth overall.
